Timer.Coffee 3.6.1 release notes

A small but useful update this time — two features I've wanted to add for a while, plus a couple of fixes. Nothing dramatic, just the app getting a bit more practical.

TL;DR

3.6.1 brings:

  • The ability to manually add Brew Diary entries — handy for brews you made without the app open.
  • A custom grind size field per recipe on Recipe Detail, saved between sessions.
  • Small UI improvements on the Pulse screen and a fix for platform-related launch popup issues.

Manually add Brew Diary entries

The Brew Diary has always been automatic — brew with the timer running, and the entry appears. But life doesn't always work that way. Maybe you brewed on autopilot this morning without opening the app, or you want to log a session from yesterday, or you're just the kind of person who keeps meticulous records and wants everything in one place.

You can now add entries directly from the Brew Diary screen, filling in the details manually. It's a straightforward addition, but one that makes the diary actually complete rather than just a log of app-assisted brews.

Custom grind size per recipe

Grinders vary wildly, and "medium-fine" means something different on a Comandante than on a Wilfa. Until now, there was no good place inside the app to record what grind setting actually works for a given recipe on your specific grinder.

Recipe Detail now has a custom grind size field — freeform text, so you can write exactly what makes sense to you: "Comandante C40 25 clicks", "Wilfa Uniform 25", or whatever notation your grinder calls for. The value is saved between sessions, so you don't have to remember it each time — it's just there, attached to the recipe where it belongs.
