Timer.Coffee 3.6.3–3.6.4 release notes

A more visual, more welcoming, and more transparent update — 3.6.3 adds photos to your bean collection, walks new users through the app, and introduces privacy-friendly analytics alongside a new country view on the Pulse screen.

TL;DR

  • Photos on bean entries — attach a photo to each bag to tell your lots apart at a glance.
  • New user onboarding — a quick walkthrough helps first-timers find their footing.
  • Privacy-friendly analytics — opt-out anytime in Settings.
  • Pulse screen now shows brew countries — see where in the world Timer.Coffee is being brewed.

Photos on bean entries

You can now attach a photo to any coffee bean entry — useful when you're juggling multiple similar bags and want to tell them apart without reading the fine print every time. Snap the label, the bag, or whatever helps you remember what's what. Photos sync across all your devices, so your collection looks the same whether you're brewing on your phone or iPad. Keeping sync running costs real money — but Timer.Coffee will always be free to use. If you'd like to help keep it that way, donations make a genuine difference.

Onboarding for new users

Timer.Coffee has accumulated a fair number of features over the years, and it's not always obvious where to start. New installs now get a brief walkthrough that introduces the main areas of the app — recipes, the Brew Diary, bean management, and the Pulse screen — so getting up to speed doesn't require poking around blindly.

Privacy-friendly analytics

Understanding how the app is used helps prioritise what to build next — which features get traction, where people get stuck, what gets ignored. 3.6.3 introduces analytics that are fully in-house: no third-party SDKs, no data leaving to external services. Privacy will always be a priority here. If you'd rather opt out entirely, you can do so in Settings at any time.

Countries on the Pulse screen

The Pulse screen, which shows a live snapshot of brewing activity across all Timer.Coffee users, now includes the countries those brews are coming from. It's a small addition that makes the global reach of the app a bit more tangible — and like everything else on Pulse, it's handled in a privacy-friendly way.

Also in this update

The Finish screen is now scrollable, which matters on smaller devices where the content was previously getting cut off. 3.6.4 followed shortly after with a few small fixes to the onboarding flow.
