Timer.Coffee 3.7.1 and 3.7.2 release notes

Timer.Coffee 3.7.1 and 3.7.2 release notes

3.7.1 and 3.7.2 are about giving you more ways to find recipes, more control while brewing, and a steadier app when the network is unreliable. There are new discovery surfaces, practical bean-level details, and a Home screen that clears space as you scroll.

TL;DR

  • Collections: browse curated recipe groups from the Home screen, open a collection, jump into a recipe, or share the collection.
  • Manual brew controls: when enabled, previous and next arrows let you move between brew steps during a brew.
  • Per-bag grind size: save a grind setting on each bag of beans and use that value when brewing with that bag.
  • New brewing methods: Timemore B75 and Espro Bloom Brewer.
  • Review translation: translate individual bean reviews, or translate all visible reviews that need it.

Collections

Collections add a new way to discover recipes without starting from a brewing method first. The Home screen can now show localized, curated recipe groups, each with its own recipe list. It is a more direct path for those moments when you know the kind of brew you want, but not the exact recipe yet.

Manual brew controls

Brewing got a little more forgiving too. Manual step control is available from the preparation screen, and once enabled it adds previous and next controls to the timer. Useful when you need to repeat a step, skip ahead, or recover after a distraction.

Recipe creation

Recipe creation is also more careful with scalable amounts. Timer.Coffee now does more reliable local conversion of coffee and water quantities in recipe steps, checks for ambiguous units, and can run an optional AI review before saving. If the AI check fails, the app falls back to local validation instead of blocking your workflow.

Beans and reviews

The bean details screen now treats grind size as a bag-level preference, alongside notes. Set it once for a specific bag, and Timer.Coffee uses that grind size when the bag is attached to a recipe. Reviews are easier to read across languages as well, with Translate and Translate all actions for reviews written in a different language.

Compact Home and networking

3.7.2 focuses on everyday reliability and space. The Home screen quick actions now collapse into a compact pinned row as you scroll, leaving more room for the recipe list. Under the hood, network calls have stricter timeout budgets, endpoint fallback, and bundled-data fallback paths, so startup and sync degrade more gracefully when the connection is slow, blocked, or offline.
